Know Before You Go

Dog rules aren't national — they're set council by council

Most restrictions come from local Public Spaces Protection Orders (PSPOs), not a single UK-wide law. That's exactly why we built this.

On-lead areas

Roads, pavements, cemeteries and signed zones typically require a lead — this varies by council.

Exclusion zones

Children's playgrounds, sports pitches and some gardens often exclude dogs entirely, year-round.

Dog limits

Some councils cap how many dogs one person can walk at once — important if you walk for others.

Always check signage on site — rules can change and vary park to park within the same council.
